winter

winter sky by day
at night the swoon circle glows …
waxing and waning

we pretended

the myriad white …
we drift on thoughtful breezes
each, we pretended

understood

it was understood …
we were neither one okay
but we were all right

quietly closing
a keystain under the rock
light freeway traffic

breezy

in this windowland
all hiding is in plain view …
and, truth is breezy

after my head has thawed out …
will you marry me?

colors gathered trance …

within this crawlspace
colors in the sounds I smell …
real life, more or less

About Robert Lew & this Blog
Hello, I'm poet Robert Lew Terrell. Haiku is my great poetry love. I've been writing them for a while now. I write in a strict 5-7-5 syllable form of haiku. Nature - birds, trees, clouds and the moon are favorite subjects. I also write about "inner nature" of the psyche.

I hope you enjoy the haiku on this blog. I have other blogs you might enjoy: My Haiku World, Haiku Pause and The Reflected Moon.

What there really is to know about Robert Lew is to be found in the haiku. But briefly, I was (am) a visual artist for a long time, though I began college in creative writing. Now I am pursuing the haiku as much as possible. Hope you enjoy them... :)
